Commissioned Card

Today I was asked to make a card for a gentleman who is going to be 81 years young. The remit was big band, trombone and a euphonium. I kept the whole thing to being musical. The images are computer generated but the card is bravo burgundy and very vanilla from Stampin Up.Fingers crossed that he likes it.

Stamp With Us Projects

Sorry, not posted for a while as I have been busy preparing for a workshop and classes as well as doing the projects and challenges on Stamp With US. Here are a few of the projects and challenges I have been doing. I will give more details later.

Project 1

As I said I signed for Stamp With Us and this is the first project today. It was designed by Monica and it was great fun to do. The technique is a one sheet wonder. You stamp a sheet of card and then cut it in sections and make the cards. I used pumpkin pie, whisper white, chocolate chip and ballet blue. A weird combination but I think it worked. The stamp set is one of my favourites, Greenhouse Garden. Whatever you do with it always seems to work.

Stamp With Us First Challenge

I singed with Stamp With Us again this quarter and tonight our first challenge was a colour challenge. Bashful blue, certainly celery, regal rose and barely banana. Here was my attempt.

Racing at 4

I was asked to make a card for a little boy who is mad on racing cars and is 4 next week. This is what I came up with. The idea of the balloons came from Caroline, an ex demonstrator who now lives in America. I also used some Crystal Effects on two of the balloons and bits of the card and the visor of the crash helmet.

I used lots of strong colour, real red, whisper white and glorious green card stock. The images are from my previous craft stash before I became an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

Valentine

I was asked to make a Valentine, my mind went blank, but here is what I eventually came up with. I used Baroque Motifs for the background, it has a lovely flourish in the set. I used basic black and real red card. The heart is acetate stamped with Versamark and embossed with black powder. Behind the acetate on the inside I sneaked a gold heart with a red heart mat and stamped the two birds from Love you Much.
The letters are from On Board Letters covered with designer series papers, sponged around the edges.

Very Glittery

This card uses a technique I saw at a craft show a couple of weeks ago. I think with the flash and photographing at night you cannot really see the effect. There is actually a pattern of different colour glitter running through each stripe.I used pale plum and perfect plum card stock and inks. The glitter I used is purple and silver from the sets of glitters new in the catalogue this year. I think perhaps I should have also used crystal glitter. The stamp set is playful petals.

Vintage Labels and Follow Your Heart

Here are a couple of cards I did this afternoon. The black and white card is made with the Sale-a-Bration set Vintage labels. Withe the use of a stamp-a-majig I stamped the circle frame (which fits in the round scallop punch) spacing them the best I could. I then used the heart and butterfly from Hello Again. The sentiment is from Whimsical Words, also part of the Sale-a-Bration offer. For this pink card I used the Sale-a-Bration set Happy Moments and the words are also from Whimsical Words. The colour combination is pink passion, chocolate chip and whisper white. My camera seems to be taking very blurred images recently. Like I keep saying I am not a photographer and have probably pressed something or, perhaps, the camera is just dying.

Pale Plum Picnic Box

I was playing yesterday with some templates I had on the computer and never really used. I found this one and made it slightly bigger. It is a picnic box, well that was the title of the file. Some of the templates I have on my computer I have had for a very long time and so I do not always know where I got them from. I used pale plum, perfect plum and whisper white card and inks. The stamp set is Circle Circus.
This card is made using the Good Neighbours stamp set from Sale-a-Bration. If you spend £45.00 you can choose a free set. There are four sets on offer. They are all really nice sets and I have seen some wonderful cards made with them over on ILWS.
